Thank you to Sheldon and Maverick Veterinary Service! Our dog Wren cut her foot on some metal late in the day and we knew we would have to go to an emergency vet center. I happened to get Maverick’s number from the local vet and they were able to meet us on their way from another call. Sheldon and his vet tech and student were the best! I highly recommend Maverick Veterinary Service and will use their service from now on. I will also post on our local NextDoor so our neighbors will know of the fantastic service we received.

Sheldon Thomas went above and beyond to help me with my Belgian Malinois. He immediately called me back. He fit me in his schedule came to my home and treated my sick puppy. This man has the most wonderful customer service skills I have ever experienced. I was in complete hysterics crying upset not knowing if my puppy was going to make it. When this heaven sent veterinarian left my home. I was crying tears of joy. Reasonable rates… He cares and obviously loves what he does for he serves his clients with gladness. My puppy is healed thank you Sheldon for your sincerity, and for genuinely caring about my puppy and reassuring me about his well-being. I just want to add that Sheldon portrayed himself in a very professional manner and is very compassionate and respectful.

He came out last minute to help my horse who was suffering from a fast collic/sand gut! Gave me a great run down on what was happening, what he was doing, and how to prevent it in the future. Was very kind, and very very helpful! I highly recommend.

Wonderful, amazing service!
We had an emergency situation with our elderly cat who needed to be put to sleep. They were so kind and fit us in. They were very understanding and helped us during a tough time. I would 100% recommend Maverick! It was so nice to be able to be in our own home with our sweet kitty during that time. Thank you so much guys!!

Never had a great experience with Veterinarians’ until Sheldon removed a cyst behind my dogs ear. My dog absolutely adored him, she just sat there and trusted him. Very knowledgeable and patient with animals. His staff is great too and the best part is he’s mobile so if my goats need a vet I know who to call.

We come down to Wilcox, AZ for the winters and bring all of our horses. We had a horse colic, and get a foot abscess (2 separate occasions) and Dr. Sheldon Thomas was the only vet to accept a new client or even return our phone call. He was super knowledgeable and saw our horse immediately both times. He was very professional and you could tell the horses well being was his first priority. We will continue using him for our horses when we’re in AZ. And would highly recommend him! On top of that he’s just a nice guy and fun to talk horses with!

Dr. Thomas was able to help us, literally, in our hour of need! Our multi-poo was attacked by a much bigger dog that clamped down on his throat and lifted him of the ground. Dr. Thomas met us within an hour at his place and immediately began the needed procedure. Quincy slept while the injury was closed. It was terrifying for us to see our dog with such an injury. What a relief to have it dealt with so efficiently and with great care. We’ve already made an appointment for our other dog when we go back to have Quincy’s stitches out. We’ve lived out here for 14 years and have finally found the vet for our boys.
